Installing VMware Horizon Client

To access the NFH+C system remotely please follow these directions.

Open up your internet browser of choice, (Edge, Chrome, Safari)
Navigate to this address, https://view.northfieldhospital.org
Click on the Install VMware Horizon Client (HTML access is available with limited functionality – See Alternate method at end of this document)
At the Download VMware Horizon Clients page – Select your version of O/S:
1. VMware Horizon Client for Windows
2. VMware Horizon Client for Mac
3. VMware Horizon Client for Linux
Click on the “Go to Downloads” link for your O/S
On Download Product page, latest version is default, click on to save file.
Open saved file and Run to install
Proceed to your O/S Installation Steps

WINDOWS SETUP:

Click Open/Run on the saved file, A box will pop-up asking you what you want to do with the file, please click on run and accept user access that prompts.
The installer will begin to run, click on the I agree & Install
It will install automatically, click on finish when complete – This will require a computer restart.
The installer will automatically put the client icon on the desktop.
Open (start) the application.
In the VMware Horizon Client, Click – Add Server, enter the address: view.northfieldhospital.org
Click Connect and enter your network credentials and click Login.
Once logged on, you will see all the VDI pools you have access to. The most common pool; is Dedicated Staff Desktops, click on Icon and it will begin to load your desktop.
You may also right-click the Icon to manages options, such as display setting to run Full Screen or as a Window.

ALTERNATIVE METHOD:

You can also access the VDI session using the HTML way. NOTE the HTML does not have access to local printing or local USB devices.

At the site https://view.northfieldhospital.org you can choose the access though HTML, click on this icon.
Enter your network credentials and click Login.
